CHAPTER. 2 

- The Thief

At this stage, there are two options to choose from.

If you think you can't take rocker go to Eden.

You don't have to write real IGN, you can type anything. 

Sign up in with the eden which will give you the battle manual and agi/bless scrolls.

don't use them now but save them for later.

Walk up the stairs on right bottom corner

Go up the 2nd floor of eden, then you will see the following

These are quiz. 

All can be answered with some googling but is somewhat time-consuming and boring.

So I tend to skip it.

However, if you absolutely need the few extra level to kill Rocker, this is the way to go.

Our main hunting ground until level 12 will be the Rocker.

When choosing the appropriate hunting ground, there are 3things to consider.

Things that concern us are highlighted above.

From now on get a habit of always searching a monster database before engaging.

Don't just go somewhere because someone says so. 

Everyone's item is different therefore most efficient hunting ground varies greatly.

There is no good in suggesting water based dungeon to someone who only have fire element skill or weapon. 

It always come down to you to judge where to visit and its efficiency.

Also, keep track of accumulated loot and EXP over 10min period.

1min is too short to make good data, anything more than 10min is too long to be consistent.

Make your personal database.

Things to look for when finding the right place to hunt. (at low level)

- The level of the mob (15level higher or less than you, you will get penalized)

- The 100% hit requirement

(You don't have to be over that limit but anything less than 80% of that value is undesirable. 

I personally would not go below 90%)

- The element they are weak against.

(For example, Rocker is earth element, therefore, weak to fire. 

If you have fire main gouache or would like to use fire converter, it will do higher damage.

(which won't be necessary at all... but if you wish, you can use them)

-Also, at the bottom of the page you will see the map that they are spawned.

press ~ in your keyboard (beside number 1) to see the map

For now, it is east east of Izlude.

They are one shot by any decent kind of weapons such as 
4 andre carded Main-gouache.

But even if you don't possess a such a weapon, just take things slowly. 

Kill some, sit down enjoy the view and kill again.

COLLECT THE GRASSHOPPER'S LEGs you WILL NEED 20 OF THEM FOR BACKSLIDE SKILL

Once you reach level 12 at Rocker we will move to the next zone

Now all the hunting ground suggestion will be diverted 

But screenshot will only include the path I took, which you need some gears

1. Budget route = Roda Frog (west west west of Prontera)

2. Fast route= Poison Spore (East north of Geffen)

For poison spore

I highly suggest getting HP increase large potion which boost about 3000HP 

making you nearly unkillable at this level.

Also marine spore carded accessory (known as blast clip) with some SP item will speed up your leveling significantly.

You rarely have to use HP pot because you will level up before your 3k HP pool is depleted

Farm Spores and Creamy, Smokie cards.

If you get lucky you can earn more than what you spent on strawberries.

Once level 20

you can either go for elder willow which is one map north of poison spore

or could go to Payon cave 1.

Both are equally fast but Payon cave has more mob so if you were to utilize blast clip

go for Payon cave, otherwise elder willow.

Elder willow will give you valuable dead branch which you could vend to people for zeny.

1hour farming will get you around 20~30 depending on your luck and VIP status

22k each at chaos server (as in 8/01/2016) so you will earn about 440~660k an hour

Which makes up for more than the pot you will spend there.

To those who have some zeny to spend, Leaf cat hat, and Costume goggle is not just a vanity item. 

VIP with leafcat+C.google.+exp boot gives a lot of exp boost. so much so with non vip friend

you will be out of party exp share range within 1hour of gameplay. 

Earth delete carded armor (soul collector) is great item for leveling melee character

as it significantly reduces the SP use (I'd rather suggest however the undead knight F carded garment for even greater SP gain. with that at low level you will never run out of SP)

Also temporal boot which is just 1 crystal per boot.

Higher the refine the higher the HP/SP boost, at a low level that boot helps a lot.

Lastly. ASPD boosting FAW with DR card will increase the survivability. 

Much more so than the immune. 

So, if you can afford it. DR garment is a great item to keep in in the arsenal. 

However, all these items are not absolutely vital for GX. 

These are items that are just nice to have.

I started my gx with elemental carded cotton shirt and 5Chakram. 

As I did, you can farm 2~3billion in a month or less, so just be patient.

Things to look for is the dex. I have HIt boosting item so dex is lower. 

However, if you don't possess the HIt boosting item, make sure you have enough dex for the

Orc warrior and Orc lady. which we will be meeting once you reach level 30.

Once level 30. 

Get a teleport from Kafra at Geffen(if you are a vip)

If not, you really would like to make a quick acolyte with warp skill to memo this place.

This place is very very far to walk.

Same applies here as well. Use the blast clip. 

Recommended item here would be Witch Pumpkin hat or any other healing boost item.

Undead knight F garment for SP.

HP increase Large and SP increase Large potion with some emergency strawberry.

Stay in the field until level 40 and then move into the orc dungeon and repeat.

Job changing to assassin can be done at anytime after job level 40.

For non trans you will hit job level 50 way before your base level hit 99.

Therefore, it might just be wiser to job change early and enjoy the boosted HP/SP.

BUT

BEFORE going off to job changing you have to learn the backslide.

You will need 20 grasshopper leg which I asked you to keep at level 10

Go to Morroc 

go out to the 11 o clock portal 

And then 11o clock again.
You will find the pyramid dungeon

Only thing for the skill is to hand over the grasshopper leg
