The Guillotine Cross Guide (Ch.3 Assassin)

CHAPTER. 3
- The Assassin

Go back to orc dungeon to train until you've reached level 56.
Once you are level 56 quickest way to level up is the eden collection quest.
This quest just asks you to collect certain items.
But these items, you don't have to collect it yourself.
- I usually set up a buy vend for items the day before.
- I usually use the sticky webfoot for best moeny/exp but other collecting item works just as fine

Pop open an old battle manual when turning in this quests.
You will use far less sticky webfoot.
For non-trans you will be using about 500~800
For trans you will be using 1000~1600k

Once all done you will be level 71.
56~71 in 15min. Alternate route is to go to grove at level 40

Our main target is Harpy which is wind property therefore high flee
allocate dex according to iRO database
according to iRO database

http://db.irowiki.org/db/monster-info/1376/

100% hit is 322 for each level you are given 1 hit.
So your hit target should be somewhere around 310 for now.

But be conscious about next area of interest.
Our next target is dark priest which has 358 flee and we will be moving around at 83~85
So your target hit should be around 340~350 by the time you are level 85.

eg. 310 hit at level 71
level 85 will give you 14 hit bonus making your hit 324
But the target hit is 340 so you need to put at least 16 dex point while you level.
(There is job level bonus dex. But don't rely on it.)
Or find an item to boost hit.
(I would suggest well chewed pencil, for the money it boost your hit the most)

Harpy's attack is wind element therefore, we will be using a wind armor.
Slotted cotton shirt with Dokebi card works.
For now, however, wind armor is not vital by all means but you will need it eventually.

what I would suggest will be Aebecee's Raging Typhoon armor with Marc card.
aka, unfro wind armor. This armor is indeed pricey.
But you will definitely be going to need one for high TI, Baphomat (both regular and one met in endless tower) and many other scenarios.
One benefit of having such an armor is now you can use snowier clip and ice cream to heal.
Snowier clip is very cheap compared to any other means of healing boost item.
If you equip 2 snowier clip (will be addressed as sweet clip)
It heals as much as WPH + Pumpkin or Ranked white condensed potion.
But why isn't everyone using one?

Two reasons.
1. There is a chance of being frozen when consuming the ice-creams.
(If you hit by monster it will break the ice but is annoying)
2. Ice cream is not that easy to buy.
You either have to go to Jawaii (you have to be married to get inside)
or you have to buy 5 at a time form in Brasillis

These limitations can be overcome, ask your guild member to buy it for you or get married etc.

However, if you can't afford the luxury of which pumpkin hat or Rudolf or fish in mouth
Snowier or Hell poodle(uses meat) accessories are things to look out for.

Grab bounty board; for now, just grab harpies.
It is not that efficient to carry all elemental converter for every mobs because mobs here are all aggressive(apart from Goat which is passive) and they are mixed in the map.
It is a waste to switch the elemental converter before time runs out.
So just buy earth elemental converters and head one map south of Juno.

There we will crush the puny harpies.

Depending on your stat and equip, choose the lowest possible level for the sonic blow.
Lower the level, less SP it will consume. If you couple it with the undead knight F garment.
You basically never run out of sp if you use level 6 or less.

Once 83

we will move to our good old comfy cozy Glast heim.
by now you would have guessed that you will need a secondary account for your warper.
that is why warpportal allows you to make 3 accounts with your one email account.
meaning yes you will need all 3 accounts.
1. main account
2. secondary account for warper/buffer/etc
3. tertiary account for vending while you hunt
every sensible RO player should have all three account running at all time while playing the game.

For computer hardware / lagging issue

I have done some experiment in this matter and things that help with the multiclient lag issues are as follows.
Test bed.
Intel i7 5820K @4.5Ghz
16GB RAM
SATA3 SSD
GeForce GTX 970
Win10 Pro 64bit

1. More CPU the better
For RO at least, physical cpu core count is more important than pure performance.
CPU like AMD FX6300 and 8320 with 6 and 8 core each will outperform mighty
intel i7 6700k and such which only have 4 physical cores.
but if you are ok with spending some money.
Go for something like
intel xeon e5 2699v3 with 18cpu cores.

At 3.0Ghz for intel 5820k
2 client per CPU = total of 12 clients ran relatively Ok.
At 4.5Ghz
I could not feel any difference in performance except when I was casted with a confusion spell.
At 3.0Ghz confusion made stutter, yet at 4.5Ghz there was no stutter at all even with 12 client

2. Disable Hyper Threading.
Hyper threading on Intel core i7s will cause a lot of lag on 2nd or 3rd client.
Disabling them is much more beneficial.

If HT is on, 5820k will struggle with 3 clients causing extensive lag.

3. Launch in full screen mode.
Although it is better and easier to swap around client if you run it on windowed mode.
it is known to cause some issues with a modern graphics card (especially GeForces).

4. Better GPU does not help at all.

Tested

GeForce
8800gtx (tested on win7)
750Ti
GTX 970

Radeon
2770 (tested on Win7)
4850 (tested on Win7)
5870 (tested on Win7)
R7 250

All made 0 difference except for some older cards were bit unstable.

5. SSDs do very little.
Even tested on RAM disk made near 0 difference.

6. Pause Anti-Virus program especially that monitors the internet traffic.
Kaspersky internet security 16.0.0.614 build cause significant loading lag.
Whenever you use fly wing or cause loading screen.
It will put it to near dead stop.

To Glast Heim

To survive here, you really need deadly armor.
Deadly armor is evil druid card in slotted armor.
It isn't particularly expensive card and also you could hunt Evil druid yourself from here.
Starting from level 71 after Eden collection quest.
the benefit of deadly armor is that you are undead property.
meaning you are near immune to all shadow property attack.

Also, you are immune to most foul status such as freezing status.

From Evildruid HP pool is too much for you to get by with sonic blow.

If you have buffing priest, using Aspersio will make your life million times easier.
Also, from level 85 consider joining low Ti as a puller.
But unless your party is amazing. don't stick around after you've complete 400 counts.
As a puller, most of the times consumable spent per exp gain is not great.

At level 91 you can start 91~99 Eden quest from Eden 2nd floor notice board.
but for non trans character, 91~99 quest is not very efficient as you need a party as well as 3 warpers to memorize all the necessary warps.
(more on this later)

Desert wolves are also a nice place to be with mass killing with Grimtooth.
However, needed hit is quite high as well as the delicate control needed may not for everyone.

At level 95 you can go to Magmaring. which is quite far but warp memo able map.
At this level, passive fire property mob with 2.5k exp is a bless.
There is no other place for given effort per exp that comes even close to the Magmaring.
Coupled with water converter it is a great place to be.

If you don't mind the price of consumables and have Aspersio slave Niflheim is also great.

You will benefit from deadly armor in all three places.
However, if you are planning on using a buff slave wear evil armor instead.
Because while wearing undead armor, you will not be able to receive most Priest’s buff.
You cannot be healed, Resurrected, or Aspersio and many more.
However, for Evil Armor, you will still be immune to shadow attack but you will not be immune from harmful status such as sleep or being frozen or stone cursed.
Yet, still enjoy the lovely buffs and heal from a priest.

In Magmaring annoying plant will cast sleep and stone curse

by using deadly armor, you can mitigate that.
If you choose to utilize the buffer, fire armor is the better bet.
